Audi TT shifter ring in to my VW R32
I decided to do something a little different with center console by adding an Audi TT shifter ring.
First I made a duplicate ring out of 1/4"MDF
Then added 8-32 T-nuts. For extra holding power I added Marglass.

I used SEM Bumper Stripper to remove the "soft touch"
Then used Zap a Gap and Kicker to mock the mdf ring into place.

Here I made a template, copied it to 1/8" ABS and zap a gapped it into place to use as a filler.
Applied Marglass, sanded with 80g, test fit
Rage Gold body filler, Metal Glaze spot putty, sanded to 220g
Plastic/Leather prep
Polyester Poly Primer
