HHR SS Fog Light Bezel Help/Question

So my next project is to make my own fog light bezel for my new HHR SS front bumper because the cheapest I could find them online was 80 bucks for both. I actually have a HHR LS but I don't like the look of the stock bumpers so I was able to find an SS front bumper for cheap so the first two stock pictures are actually just ones I found online for reference. So here is what the bezels look like from the front.

From the back.

Here is what I'm looking at right now on my bumper. Front.

Back.

So here is my question what would be the easiest way to fiberglass the tabs that go through the bumper to connect the bezel to the bumper. I'm not worried about making it appear meshed like the stock one. I planned to fiberglass the front of the bezel with a tin foil base then after two layers add the tabs to the back the same way with a tin foil and cardboard base. I just wanted to make sure that the fiberglass tabs would still stick to the already fiberglassed layers. This will be my first main fiberglass project I have been reading up so I don't have any questions on mixing or applying the fiberglass I just want to know what is the best method to make the tabs on the back if I should make them with the first layer of fiberglass or if I can make a base layer of hardened fiberglass then later fiberglass the tabs to that base. I'm actually not going to worry about fiberglassing the holes in for the fog lights right now because I don't have fog lights and I want to prefect the tabs and it will also make this bezel a lot easier to make because it is more straight forward. Thanks in advance. Hopefully I worded my project right.

I've never done anything like this before, but I'd do one or two things:

Make a base like you said, then cut them in and make sure they bond together (should work pretty good if you make sure to secure them with glass....I'd drill a hole through the tabs and snake some mat in there then glass them)

Or
You would make a base, then glass some t-nuts in there and you coul ditch the tabs all together and MAKE sure that bad boy will never come off unless you want it to.

Ya I was thinking maybe just fiberglassing something like what they use on doorpanels to hold on the arm rests where there is just a fiberglassing rod sticking out the back and then a metal stamped looking nut screws onto that rod to hold the piece in place. I'll try and find a picture of what I'm talking about.

So here is the new plan I finally found the correct name of the bolt that I will use to secure the bezel in place. It is called an elevator bolt. It looks like this.

I planned to do atleast two layers of fiberglass then cut my holes for this bolt. Put bolt in place then fiberglass two more layers to sandwich the head inbetween the layers and i think that should be enough to hold the bezel in place. Right now I plan to only use two bolts for each bezel but I will see how secure that is and go from there. Let me know if sandwiching the head of the bolt between layers should be strong enough I might even put little holes through the head so the layers can sandwich between the inside of the head too.

I'd recommend putting some holes in there.....rather take the 10 minutes to do it and be safe...rather than sorry.....the t-nuts have a brad nail version that is similar to this and it has holes for brad nails, but works to help resin get in there

I can't seem to find the t-nut bolts you are talking about but I'm just gonna cut the head on the elevator bolt to be rectangluar and also put holes in it to help stop the bolt from slipping. I will post pics next week of my progress. Thanks for the help.
