custom molded bumper

hey guys im a newbie and decided to post a lil project i had been working on. it is the front bumper to my car which is a 1998 ford escort 4dr. i wasnt happy with the way the front bumper looked on the car to begin with so idecide to take a buddies advice and mold 2 bumpers to create 1. so the top half of the bumper is the factory bumper and the lower half is a R33 front bumper from a 92 civic.

this is the bumper as it sat for a while. sorry no pics of the factory to new bumpe forming

so i got back onto the work and i started sanding down the fiberglass in prep for the filler stage.

this is the origional section tthat was cut out. use your imagination to see what it would have looked like stock

day 1 of the filler stage. there is a few days of this since i was working 12 hour days while doing this.

this is the part of the bumper i ran into a snag as you can see the old bumper and the new didnt exactly fit right.

this is what i came up with

and with it in glass

sorry didnt wanna exceed and MB for a post.

here is the section i created in bondo glass

here i decided to make a test fit of the bumper to make sure everything still fit. even had the wife help me.

so i got the bumper back from the primer yesterday.

so i got to start blocking out the bumper today. this is only half of it right now. man is it smooth.

so now it is all blocked out just needing small pinholes filled and it should be ready for paint. next on my list is to redo my shaved trunk. and finish off my wire tuck. more pics to come.
