g body dash??

wanting to know about fixing my dash in my 79 malibu. I want to scuff up the dash really good (remove texture) fix cracks and what not. Then hit it with adheshion promoter high build primer paint and clear cut and buff. Didnt want to change dash just get that smooth look to it but i drive my car daily and i dont want it cracking anytime soon
