eclipse cd5000 problem

installed a cd5000 in my dakota today. I just went out side and it was on. the key off. i turn on the key, it turns off for a sec then back on. so again after turning off the key, it turns off. I lock and close the door. 3 minutes later i see it turn on while standing outside the truck watching for it.

So i removed it and it is burning hot from being on a few hours.

Any ideas. (I checked the wiring harness and everything is correct.)

you checked the harness for ignition with a meter and it was dead the whole time, when the deck turned on by itself?

well I have 12 volts on the red wire (acc/ign) with the key off. Wonder what is causing this? Guess I have to find a new place to splice into. Strange cause it worked fine before.
