Non-CD H/U

I am looking for a headunit that does not have a cd player. This is due to a lack of space and it is not necessary. However it NEEDS rear RCA outputs AND inputs... Could I be any more specific?

I was hoping someone knew a model off the top of their head. The cheaper, the better. Does not need to be fancy.

Could I achieve this with a basic pre-amp/amp? I dont need to see this thing. As long as its not up front, but has a remote with an equalizer/control board, I'll be good...

My Clarion N.I.C.E. only has RCA outputs, and no equalizer, but it has volume control, however a manual knob is more satisfying than JAB JAB JAB JAB JAB JAB (95% 90% 85% 80%)

The only HU that Im aware of without a CD player is the Alpine IDA-X001. Its the one with the small screen that they specifically made for the IPOD

what does lack of space have to do with a cd player? it would still be single din size. Im not aware of a 1/2din HU

depth, is the concern. and I dont even need to see this unit. It can be mounted under my center console or under a seat... The location where I intended for a CD player to go is about 1/2" too shallow for any h/u so the one I have now is sticking out. my HVAC controls are only ~2" deep so I might just put them where the cd player was intended to go. What about a h/u with a remote-volume knob? I suppose I could do that much, myself... but I'm in the market for a new h/u so why not just buy what I need.

At $400, and considering I already have a clarion N.I.C.E. as music management and many others...I'm still looking. I cant find dimensions on it anyway.

Isnt there some sort of aux-in, 4-channel/aux out amplifier?

the only one im aware of is the apline thats only ipod

PPI par-650 or any other EQ that has volume, input and output ,

ipod bluetooth transmitter/receiver, (works for anything with a headphone output)

Just a suggestion, if you don't have a sunroof, you could make an overhead mount. Perhaps under the seat (kinda ghetto) with the display relocated. Just a couple alternatives.
