carputer

anyone ever use one or have info on one? im thinkin about going this way to change things up a bit. mold a 10" in the dash and connect this thing. i want to know it i can get radio signals and how would i go about connecting amps and adjusting volume levels

run the sound throught an amp and rca s and they make an fm reciever for a comp .. its like 30 bucks..... just start with a laptop and an external case for all ur extra bullshit ...

www.mp3car.com is a really good place to start, as they have everything from plug-and-play solutions to DIY plans in the forums. You can build a pretty good system for about $500-$600 minus the screen.

Depends on the quality or if you want sat radio, there are many options. For sound an external 5.1 card straight into your amp give you HU quality. Volume can be controlled via the front end software built in.
