| Rosado Name
Chris Rosado Where do you live?
Staten Island New York Do you work for yourself or a shop? Name of it?
I work for a company called Mobile-Addicitions Did you go to an installer school or are you self taught?
Pretty much self taught. I have have been trained by Bryan Schmitt from Mobile Solutions a few times already. Well worth the time to be trained. Being trained makes you look at every project diffrently. Who is your biggest influence in your work?
You know, I can mention the most known people out there as influence. Its not the name that influences me, its the job. I look at there work and wonder how they did it. I study it and try to break it down to see how they built it. Its the job that was created and the type of impact it has on the industry. Raising the mark and taking it to new levels. That is what gets me going. Although there is one person that has really changed my ways of doing things. That person would be Bryan Schmitt (Mobile Soulutions). The reason why I mention his name is that I got to do something with him that most people dont get to do. I built a car with him. It was a pleasure to do so as well. Working side by side with a pro really make you look at any job that you get with a diffrent propective. What got you interested in fabrication work?
I am a person that likes to take thing apart and see how they tic. I would always take things apart and put them back together. Sometimes it would not work like it did before I touched it. I would keep going at it untill I got it working again. There were some things that i could not get working again. When I was in school I had wood working class. Pretty much a basic class to get students intrested in doing things. I was always asking questions and always building thing for class. The teacher told me that I had an understanding on woodworking and that I should pursue it. I was like yea right. Look at me now.. LOL How long have you been working with fiberglass/metal/wood?
fiberglass- 10 years metal- 7 wood- 5 Does your interest stem from hobby or profession?
Profession First job using fiberglass?
Doing a sub and amp rack. I thought to myself that it was crazy to even mess with it. So hard to sand. Didnt know how many layers I needed to add. The amp rack was ok but the box looked ok but didnt last long. Read below and you will see why. What was your worst use of fiberglass
Did a fiberglass box for a 12 inch sub. I didnt have enough layers on the box to hold it together. When it started to play, with in 1 hour the box broke apart. In what area would you like to see your work improve?
There is always room for improvments. No one is perfect, but I do have to say what I wanted to improve, it would be to upholstery. I can wrap but I cant stich anything. Using a sewing machien is like me trying to fly. LOL Best use/innovation with fiberglass?
Docking station for my home theater control. If there's one thing you would do different what would it be and why?
No regrets at all to what I do. If you were to be remembered by only one job, which would it be? Why?
I havent built that one job yet. Is it coming, yup it is.. Till then, there isnt one. Besides, I really wouldnt wanted to be remembered by just one job. I want to be remembered as a fabricator that could get it done. Any words of advice to those just starting out in custom fabrication?
Tools and knowledge are the key to become better. Having the right tools can help get the job done faster and much easier. Read the forums and any books out there that you can get your hands on. NEVER be afarid to ask a question or advise on a job. With that being said, always RESPECT the tools that you are using. Most tool that we all use and dnagerous. You can have a bad day real fast. Besides fab work or installing, what do you like to do to unwind?
Spending time with my family and going on vacation when I can. If I had a real stressfull day, I just go for a nice long walk and try not to think about anything. Playng video games also helps me unwind. What do you drive? and whats your dream car?
Right now I have a 2003 Grand Am all done up. My dream car..hhmmm not sure. There are alot of cars out there that would suit me just fine. If i really had to answer the question, it would proberly be a R34 Skyline. For some reason, those cars to me just have sexy lines....
